Horses should be retired to pastures, not slaughter houses.

B79616A1-B18E-4ED6-BA38-E52705A42EC0So recently we have been searching around for different horses, preferably something I can work on over the winter. I never really wanted just a thing that can be bought right away. We had thought about slaughter house horses but it would be hard to get something a ride to our city. But we found a rescue ebter near our house and we are going to go check that out. I would like something that could be an eventer but I’ll see. One story on the horse I really liked was so sad, his old owners didn’t want him anymore so they just sent him away for the cheapest they could.

Looking for horses

Recently We have been looking for a horse, I’m going to train it into an eventing horse. If anyone has any tips please tell me! There is a rescue place south west of my house but I am looking for a younger horse that needs a home. On the way to look at a horse I couldn’t stop reading may as well event! Go look at her blog, she is so inspiring! May as well event

Let’s get controversial.

This is not going to be hate on crops or bits but if you get offended by those things please leave this post.

Hey guys! About a year before I quit saddleseat I really noticed a lot of abuse. Not at my own barn just everywhere, mostly shows. I preferibly wouldn’t like to use a bit with my new training horse but he needs one for about a week. The horse that I am currently looking at needs some of help. He hasn’t been ridden a lot due to his previous owner getting injured, he needs some veterinary work as well. After I finish getting him back to his old routine I’m going to get a bit less bridle preferably. One thing that I will NEVER do again is ride with a crop or anything that can inflict any pain to him. I don’t care if people use crops it’s just not my style. Thanks for reading, I know it’s a very controversial topic but at the end of the day we love our horses and our horses love us.

Restoring tack.

as I’ve started to get a horse for myself to train there has been a lot of changes. From a competitive world champion to all around riding. People send me tack they don’t want/need anymore and I resell it on a tack selling and trading app called TackHunter. My recent peice was a A/P saddle. It is an older brand but it has hardly been used, the dryness was so severe when I got it. It has gotten better but can still use some work, if anyone has and recommendations for softening the leather please share them with me. Come meet my horses!

Hey guys! This blog with have a few controversial topics like bits and whips/ crops. But come meet my horses! 7D3A3A5C-A06C-46C9-B5DC-D2E30D2F70D3This is Bandit! He is half hackney and Icelandic pony. He is sassy and he knows it. He is believed to be 18 years old. We got him in 2014. Bandit is very different from all of our animals. He is extremely photogenic, anytime he sees a camera he poses.

This is Bella! My dad’s hackney show pony. We got her in November, she is 12 years old and her first show is on the 27th of September. She loves nicker makers, my dad went so overboard with buying her treats. He got a dog food bag full of them.
